Mr. Carl Bass has been Special Advisor at Autodesk, Inc. since February 8, 2017. Mr. Bass served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Autodesk Limited. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Autodesk, Inc. from May 01, 2006 to February 08, 2017 and served as its Interim Chief Financial Officer from August 14, 2008 to April 26, 2009 and again from August 2014 to November 1, 2014. He served as the Principal Accounting Officer of Autodesk, Inc. from August 14, 2008 to April 26, 2009. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer of Autodesk, Inc. from August 2001 to February 2002.
He served as Senior Executive Vice President of Design Solutions Group from February 2002 to June 2004 and served as its Executive Vice President from August 2001 to February 2002. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Autodesk, Inc. from June 2004 to April 2006 and served as its Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Development. He held a series of executive positions during his 24 year tenure at Autodesk, including 11 years as Chief Executive Officer. He co-founded Ithaca Software, which was acquired by Autodesk in 1993. He served as tzhe Chief Executive Officer of Ithaca Software. He is a Leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. He has deep experience in building and leading a multi-product company with billions in revenue that serves both enterprises and small organizations. He has been an Independent Director at Formlabs Inc. since July 13, 2017 and Zoox Inc. since October 2017. He has been a Director of iRise, Inc. since May 2007, Autodesk, Inc. since January 17, 2006, iRise, Inc. since May 2007 and Zendesk, Inc. since February 09, 2016.
He serves as a Director of Humin, Inc., Planet, Autodesk Limited and Quirky. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Impact Venture Partners and Udacity, Inc. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Panzura, Inc. since December 2, 2013. He served as a Director of E2open, Inc. from August 1, 2011 to March 26, 2015. Mr. Bass holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Cornell University.
